audi a4 b8 2.0 tdi cambelt advice

hi guys done plenty of cambelts on various cars and not concerned about replacing this one as it looks fairly simple but im wondering is it better to remove the full front end or just bang it in service mode, if i put it in service mode is there anywhere i can buy some makeshift bolts to slide the front end out?
ps ive tried downloading the timingbelt app and i get an error page?, any ideas

Audi A6 C5 Avant Headliner Swap

Greetings Everybody!

I hope somebody can help with my problem.
I have purchased an Avant headliner set, including all the pillar trims. Problem is that it's from a car with curtain airbags, but my car is pre-face with side airbags. Therefore at some points it doesn't fit (some mounting holes, plastic parts).
My question: is it still possible to mount the stuff by any ways? Did anybody do it?
Some modification would be no problem for me if it needs any.

Audi A4 2005 1.9 PD Engine Low Compression and not starting

Hi Guys,

I've been having trouble with my car for a while with a non starting issue. First it would struggle to start and now it won't start at all. I finally got around to performing a compression test and here are the results:

Cylinder 1) 260 PSI
Cylinder 2) over 300PSI (my compression tester only goes up to 300PSI)
Cylinder 3) 225 PSI
Cylinder 4) 250 PSI

I have performed this test several times with these same readings

Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be causing it based on...

Hi everyone

I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first request for help...
I have a front passenger footwell leak in heavy rain. It's definitely rainwater, not coolant.

You can put a hose onto and around the cabin filter housing all day long and there's no leak inside. It starts dripping in once you move the hose about 1/3 of the way up the edge of the windscreen where it meets the A-pillar (passenger side obviously).

With the glovebox out, you can see where it is coming...

About 10 months ago my parents bought me a 2009 A4. It was all good no major problems until we noticed that it has an intermittent starting problem. Low MAF readings

Hello.
I am having a problem with my Audi A3 1.9 TDi 96 kW.
I have K&N air filter and a free-flowing exhaust. My car is re-maped too.
The problem is in low MAF readings. I can not achieve a 850+ reading. It achieves only for a second 870 and drops to 780-820.
I dynoed my car and it shows only 149 HP.
I bought a new MAF sensor and also tried set of others also from a 2.0 TDi and the problem is same.
The car is achieving requested boost but no airflow.
I have no CAT so there is nothing to be...

hello to all memebers,
I have 2006 a6/c6 3.0tdi BMK manual, she is not starting just cranking, vcds gives no faults related to this. I disconnected injector cables but gives me no fault too?.
I can prime fuel pump by doing output test, installed to little filters in place of original filter to see fuel flow and return live ,cleaned grounds and lives, checked fuses, checked ecu for water all clean and dry. also hiwire fuel pump just to see it pumping all good, car start with easy start...

hi all,

audi a4 b8 2008 2.0 tdi 143hp caga engine

137k miles, castrol edge only, well driven and well maintained

2 days ago, I got the low oil pressure light on dashboard. I was on a busy road, hence I drove for another 2 miles/5 minutes before shutting the engine off. I then called green flag, who took me home. it turns out the oil pump module on this engine is crap, as audi thought it was wise to connect some of the most vital parts of the engine with the crappiest quality metal out...

Hi,I have an issue with my allroad,randomly it will go into limp mode.Sometimes it will be ok for 10 days at a time then others it will be 100% bad until I clear the codes with vagcom,then it might be ok for a while or return to limp mode straight away.

Hello. Its been a nightmare this past 1 month. Car was having a little bit of problems at starting and when it starts and idles car is shaking and white smoke is coming out of the exaust. VCDS values from injectors were
0.43 mg/str
2.6
-2.88
0.53

I was getting a vcds error Misfire in cylinder 3
I replaced the injector on cylindar 3 with a better one, car got more power and fuel economy went bigger but now i get this values:
0.34
2.89
-3.01
0.24
And a VCDS error : Misfire in cylinder...

When starting my Audi a4 b6 1.9 tdi 2004 awx ,there is white smoke coming out on exhaust and when driving i noticef that the car has lost power.Did the vag com and found the error code :18080 coolant fan control 1 open circuit / short with ground p1672 intermittent, please help how to fix this problem,I even replaced the temp sensor but still problem did stop

I have been struggeling with my 1999 A6 1.9 TDI 81kw. I have replaced starter and G28 sensor, fuel return valve and glow plugs. VCDS doesnt show any error codes. Timing is in good range. Sometimes it starts normal and sometimes like in the video below.

A4 B7 tdi Q Oil-leak!

Hi everyone.
Got a massive oil leak it seems and I've been digging around quite a bit to locate the source. I've taken the tandem off and changed the steel gasket twice cause I'm fairly confident that its coming from underneath the tandempump. Marinating the gearbox housing and snailing its way forwards to the oilpan and crossmember leaving a puddle wherever I park. The leak is most likely depending on a running engine (high-up).
Are there any other gaskets/ seals or caps located underneath...

Audi A4 TDi engine failure

Hi all, my 2008 A4 Tdi has 140.000km on the dial and all of a sudden one day the engine was losing power, exhaust was smoking and smelled bad.
The OBD reader indicated MAF sender was faulty, then the EGR valve and so on. Did a full service on all 4 injectors as well but nothing got better.
Two garages was consulted but no one could tell what was wrong with the engine.



Decided to stripdown the valve cover and rocker arms and there it was! One hydraulic lifter was opened like a thin...

Audi A4 2.0tdi 16V - PD - 140hp. Engine code: BLB

Purchased a car that someone filled with gas instead of diesel...
Found out that one injector was bad so now its replaced...
when having everything out I got some new seals and bolts for all the injectors..
Got the car running but it runs unstable on low revs. and puts out a little bit of white smoke.
Even when cold start after chewing 2-3 times... the "not good" feeling is felt mostly on idling...

Return line is putting out crazy amounts...

Hi, im new to this forum and have some questions regarding crankcase pressures in my BPW engine.

Please dont talk about replacing the turbo and injectors, no issues there.
I over time i have positive pressure building up in my engines CCV system.
I removed the oil filler-cap with engine off and that relieved some amount of pressure.
I tested the CCV vent by pressurizing the crankcase through the line going to N75 valve and that verified my concern.
This causes blowby issues to my turbo,...
